Nigerians who travel by the trains might experience a service disruption, if aggrieved railway workers carry out their threat of going on strike.
The Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) workers union cited poor welfare among other reasons.
The workers said there has not been any improvement in their condition since calling off their three days warning strike held eight months ago.
They also deplored the manner the government is handling ongoing strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).
The workers urged the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration to embrace the lecturers’ University Transparency and Accountability Solution (UTAS) payment platform.
Train transport is a major means for conveyance for many Nigerians and goods too. There are about 42 train stations scattered across the country.
