United Bank for Africa (UBA) has alerted customers to the activities of fraudsters impersonating the bank’s social media channels. The bank is urging customers to be wary of fraudsters and to report such fake social media accounts when they spot them.
The bank ask its customers to “always look out for the verified tick on all our social media pages”.
The bank also warned customers against heeding request, apparently by fraudsters, to send their card details and pin via WhatsApp.
