Telecom service providers have up till August 24, 2022 to rollout the 5G network.
The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) gave the order on Thursday.
Prof Garba Danbatta, NCC executive vice chairman, said this in Lagos. He said the deployment would open a new vista of opportunities for economic development.
The NCC identified the challenges delaying the 5G network roll-out to include inflation and foreign exchange rates, quality and adequate power supply, and devices affordability, among others.
