Two new companies enter Nigerian lottery market

Two companies – Orbital Lottery & Gaming Limited and Africlick Limited (trading as Win Sapa) – have debuted the Nigerian lottery marketplace.

Lanre Gbajabiamila, the director-general of the National Lottery Regulatory Commission (NLRC), while presenting sports betting permits to the entrants, urged them to adhere to regulatory rules.

“Do not give us any course to enforce compliance on your companies as the Commission will not hesitate to bring the full weight of the law if you are found wanting.

“As a stakeholder in the industry, be part of the eyes and ears of the NLRC and let us know when there is an operation going on of which you do not know of its validity,” Gbajabiamila said.

In his response, the CEO of Orbital Lottery and Gaming, Mr. F. K. Fayad, said that their company is poised to contribute positively to developing the industry in Nigeria through innovations and consistency.

“We are glad to be part of the local community and we are invested in delivering world-class services and products in Nigeria,” Fayad assured.
