Consumertrics has been inundated with customer complaints about a glitch in Access Bank’s electronic banking system.
Some of those whose complaints we reviewed claimed that the unsavoury situation has persisted for a few days.
Major among the issues raised is customers’ inability to carry out fund transfer through the bank’s *901# Unstructured Supplementary Service Data (USSD) code.
It is observed that some of the dissatisfied customers have also vented their concerns through the bank’s social media channels.

In the light of the USSD challenge, we have tested Access Bank mobile app and found it to be working and effective. Therefore, we recommend the mobile app as a viable alternative to customers who are unable to carry out their electronic banking.
